Australia High Commission Building, Kuala Lumpur

JTK Consult (JTK) was engaged by the Australian High Commission to provide consultancy services to assess the building condition and identify the defects.

The Australian High Commission building is the home for the Australian Embassy in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
It is a reinforced concrete structure and its surface is generally clad with shanghai plaster.

The building was showing defects mainly structural cracks due to ground settlement during the foundation works of an adjacent construction.

All visible defects were documented for the client’s maintenance program. For defects that required urgent work, JTK proposed the remedial works necessary and supervised the works to completion.
