Public Bank, Johor Bahru

We were engaged by Siah Brothers as material technology consultants with particular inputs for the construction of the transfer beams at the lower levels designed to support the full superstructure. The Public Bank Building is a 30 storey building in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and built in 1993.  . We were involved in developing procedures to minimize risk of cracking due to temperature differentials and the management of peak temperatures in the Transfer Beam pours.  This was considered critical as any problem with the defects free construction of the transfer beams would have structurally compromised the building and would have completely delayed progress as no works above the transfer level could be done unless the Transfer beams could be handed over.  We provided high end concrete technology support and supervised the concreting operations on site.
